Aboretum Trsteno Park
Aboretum Trsteno nature park was declared a natural rarity and in 1962 it was given the status of a protected monument.
The park has over 500 years of unique specimens of its kind.
The trunks of the trees are 5metres wide and between 50 and 60 meters tall.
This is the oldest renaissance park in Croatia, with specimens like Japanese banana trees, bougainvillea, evergreen magnolia and vast varieties of cactus and numerous exotic plants.
Also famous and known for the filming of award winning show Game of Thrones.

Fortress Pocitelj

This fortress was built by King Tvrtko in 1383 and had a strategic role in controlling the way to the sea through the Neretva valley.
From 1713 to 1835 it was the headquarters of the Pocitelj military district.
It is important to mention, the Alijina Mosque dating back to the first half of the 16th century which dominates the town with its original copper domes.
